The Delulu mode is back in Fortnite! This unique battle royale experience is once again available for a limited time. Epic Games brought it back on Friday at 9 AM Eastern Time, and it will stay active over the weekend. The game developer has also implemented a couple of changes, making it easier to earn a victory umbrella.

The second session of Delulu will be available for three days, and now, players can win in a squad. There is no need to betray teammates at the end to get a Victory Royale, which makes the mode better for those who prefer to stick together.

Epic Games reveals amazing stats from the first Delulu session in Fortnite

In the first session, Delulu reached a peak of 126,553 concurrent players. Considering that proximity chat is not everyone’s cup of tea, this number is fantastic. It also shows that the mode has a lot of potential and could possibly become the most popular mode soon.

Besides concurrent players, Epic Games revealed the following stats for the first session:

StatValue
Teams formed8+ million
Crashbrellas earned515,001
Squads that stayed friendly79% of all squads
Friend requests made1.7+ million

The mode received so much hype that even Tim Sweeney, Epic Games CEO, tried it out. The executive won a match with zero damage and eliminations, which was quite impressive.

Considering that players can now earn a squad victory, we expect the number of victory umbrellas to reach at least one million after the second session. The proximity chat mode will be active every weekend, although many players want it to be available 24/7. While Epic may implement this change in the future, keeping it as a limited-time mode is probably the right choice for now.
