If you’re not a fan of mini-seasons in Fortnite, then we have some good news for you. According to a new leak, Epic Games will not release any short seasons during Chapter 7. Instead, the game creator will stick to regular seasons, as four of them are set to come out over the next 12 months.
The last mini-season we had was in November 2025, as Fortnite released a massive The Simpsons collaboration. Earlier this year, a Star Wars season lasted for a month, which was the first mini-season of Chapter 6. The new chapter will be different, and those who look forward to the Chapter 3 Remix season may be disappointed.
No more mini-seasons in Fortnite, at least not in Chapter 7
According to Blortzen, Epic Games has only prepared four regular seasons for the new chapter. The last three chapters all had mini-seasons, and all of them lasted for a month. Many Fortnite players looked forward to the return of Chapter 3 in a short season, but unfortunately, it doesn’t seem that it will happen in 2026.
Based on the leaked strings, the season schedule for the next year looks like this:
- Season 39 – Chapter 7 – Season 1 (Current)
- Season 40 – Chapter 7 – Season 2
- Season 41 – Chapter 7 – Season 3
- Season 42 – Chapter 7 – Season 4
While this is great news for those who dislike mini-seasons, we have to wonder how long each Chapter 7 season will be. If Epic only releases four seasons in the chapter, each season will last for three months on average, which might be a bit too long.
It’s important to note that Epic may change this in the future, so we might get mini-seasons after all. For now, we’re eagerly waiting for the Winterfest event and all the free rewards it will bring.
