The second season of Fortnite Chapter 3 has landed, giving the shooter perhaps its most drastic change yet as it removes building from the game.
Entitled Resistance, the new season dropped in the battle royale over the weekend. Though the removal of the ability to build won’t be permanent, it’s not the only change to the game mechanics. Players should now find themselves running at a faster default speed, and are now also able to mantle. In addition, doors can now be bashed open with a shoulder barge. They’ll also have an overshield to help them survive for longer.
The Resistance of the title, meanwhile, needs your help to take back points of interest from across the map. You’ll now see various IO Blimps over various landmarks on the map if they’re under enemy control, and a Battle Bus if they’re in Resistance territory. IO Blimps can be raided for loot, but watch out for Titans, IO Guards and Siege Cannons.
Meanwhile, the game’s latest Battle Pass features a bunch of new characters & some Marvel favourites. These include Doctor Stephen Strange and Spider-Man villain The Prowler. Additionally, Epic has pledged to donate all Fortnite proceeds from now until April to humanitarian relief for the people of Ukraine. You can read more on that here.
