Fortnite is celebrating another birthday this month, so get ready to party! The yearly Fortnite birthday event is coming soon, and it will bring a lot of awesome content and new quests for everyone to enjoy. The battle royale game is turning eight in just a couple of weeks, which is an impressive feat.
Celebrating the game’s birthday is a great tradition that rewards players with free cosmetics, and we’re just days away from it. The next update, which will come out early next week, will likely reveal more information about the event, including all the rewards that Epic Games will add.
When is Fortnite’s birthday?
Fortnite first came out on July 21, 2017. In the beginning, the game only had the PvE mode, Save the World. However, two months later, Epic released Fortnite Battle Royale, which quickly became a worldwide sensation. Because of this, the Fortnite birthday event is celebrated in September, and the next one should drop very soon.
It’s important to note that birthday cosmetics for this year haven’t been added yet. These rewards are usually added to the game with a major update.
The next major update is set to drop on Tuesday, September 9, which is likely when we’ll see the birthday celebration begin, or at least the addition of the rewards. If they don’t come with that update, then it’s possible we’ll almost certainly see them with the September 16 update.
The last birthday event brought a pickaxe, a back bling, and a spray as rewards. This year, we can expect similar rewards. There is a chance that Epic will release a free skin for the birthday event Right now, there are five free skins in Fortnite, so expanding the list would be a great idea, especially for new players!
