Starting with the next Fortnite season, the Battle Pass will no longer be exclusive. Epic Games announced this groundbreaking change on Wednesday, revealing more details about it. It will be interesting to see how this change will affect Battle Pass sales. However, there is no doubt that many players are excited about it.

Considering that locking items behind the Battle Pass is one of the main complaints that players have, this will solve that problem. At the same time, Battle Pass owners will get early access to new skins and cosmetics.

The next Fortnite Battle Pass will not be exclusive

“Items in future Fortnite Battle Passes might be offered for purchase in the Fortnite Shop after 18 or more months from the Battle Pass’ expiration. A Battle Pass item may include a different number of its alt Styles each time it comes to the Shop,” Epic Games announced on its blog. This change will allow newer players to obtain skins, although they will have to wait at least 18 months for them.

The Fortnite developer also clarified that this change will not affect Battle Pass owners. The leveling system will remain the same, and all the rewards will be usable in all experiences. On top of this, Battle Pass owners will get many different cosmetics for only 950 V-Bucks, which is a perfect deal.

It’s important to note that this change does not affect older Battle Passes. All the cosmetics that were released in the past will remain exclusive. However, every Battle Pass released in the future will lose exclusivity.

Furthermore, Epic Games does not guarantee that every single item from the pass will come to the Shop. “Shop selection is dependent on a variety of factors, and there is no guarantee that a Battle Pass item will come to the Shop after this change goes into effect. If an item in a future Battle Pass will never be available outside the Pass, we’ll let you know,” the developer clarified.

Finally, Epic confirmed that the future Battle Pass will keep the price of 950 V-Bucks. On top of this, owners will be able to earn 1500 V-Bucks back.
