Ammo boxes have been removed from Fortnite with the release of the new season. Yes, you read that right. And no, this won’t be a big deal, surprisingly. You will still be able to use your weapons and won’t run out of ammo.
If you played Fortnite during one of the previous Star Wars events, you probably already have an idea of what the game will be like. If not, here’s everything you need to know.
Where to find ammo boxes in Fortnite?
At the moment, you cannot find any ammo boxes on the Fortnite island. Epic Games removed them all with the release of Chapter 6 – Season 3, which surprisingly makes a lot of sense. As you may already know, Epic vaulted all the regular weapons from the game. Due to this, you can no longer use standard shotguns or assault rifles, which is the biggest change this season.
All the weapons have been replaced by Blasters, and Blasters don’t require standard ammo. Instead, they have unlimited energy ammo, and reloading was replaced by overheating. As a result, ammo boxes have been completely removed from Fortnite, and it’s unlikely that Epic Games will bring them during the season.
Opening ammo boxes has become a habit for many Fortnite players, and unfortunately, this action won’t be possible during Chapter 6 – Season 3. However, these items are still available in other game modes, such as Creative and Fortnite OG.
Epic will keep releasing new content in Season 3, adding new weapons weekly. In the meantime, make sure to unlock all the free skins in Fortnite, including the First Order Stormtrooper, which is a perfect skin for the new season.
