Reggie Fils-Aimé, former president of Nintendo of America, will teach at Cornell University as its first Leader in Residence (via Twitter).

In February, Reggie announced he was stepping down from his role at Nintendo after 15 years of working there. At the time, he said, ‘Nintendo owns a part of my heart forever, it's a part that is filled with gratitude – for the incredibly talented people I've worked with, for the opportunity to represent such a wonderful brand, and most of all, to feel like a member of the world's most positive and enduring gamer community.’
The world was heartbroken, but Reggie assured us that his departure would not spell ‘“game over” for me, but instead “leveling up” to more time with my wife, family and friends.’ Now, his next adventure has been revealed; delivering lectures and teaching the student body on ‘leadership, conscious capitalism, and service’.

Reggie graduated from Cornell University in 1983, so it’s rather poetic that he is returning there again as a member of academic staff. His first talk at Cornell University's Dyson School of Applied Economics and Management is on October 21 and is open to the public. Light refreshments will be provided, so if you happen to be in New York, drop by and slurp a coffee as Reggie instructs you on how to be an excellent leader.
