Star Wars: The Force Unleashed is on track to becoming the best-selling Star Wars game of all time, publisher Activision reckons.

It’s sold a whopping 1.5 million copies across all platforms worldwide in only five days, making it the fastest selling Star Wars game and LucasArts game ever too. Needless to say, it’s number one in the all format UK top 10.

SW:TFU has been so popular that Activision has had to make and distribute more copies of the game to shops.

“The record-setting sales of Star Wars: The Force Unleashed shows the undiminished power of Star Wars and its popularity across all media types, including video games,” said Darrell Rodriguez, president of LucasArts. “We’re blown away by the response to the game.”

It’s a thoroughly decent effort, if a tad disappointing, as you’ll know if you’ve read Tom’s review, where he gave the Secret Apprentice and co 7/10.

No doubt the game’s immense marketing push had something to do with those incredible sales.
