Medieval hack-'n-slash For Honor will be kicking off its sixth season later this month, with Hero's March arriving on PlayStation 4, PC, and Xbox One as a free update on May 17.

The update will be preceded by a free weekend period for the game, during which time you'll be able to take advantage of 67% off the usual asking price and transfer all your progress to boot.

As for Hero's March, players can look forward to sinking their sword into a wealth of extra content, chief among which includes the new Beachhead map. Available in all multiplayer modes apart from Tribute, Beachhead is apparently a 'desirable stronghold' for any army looking to sway a battle in their favour, offering picturesque views from afar.

Other highlights include further poking and prodding to the game's character roster, specifically the Orochi and Peacekeeper, both of which will receive 'major gameplay updates' for Season Six. In addition, you'll also be able to track all visuals that you've acquired and add them to your gear via a dedicated in-game menu.

'We’re happy to see players react positively to our recent For Honor updates, which included the launch of dedicated servers and extensive Hero balancing changes, as well as new onboarding features,' beamed For Honor's Creative Director, Roman Campos-Oriola. 'In addition to improving the core experience, we are also working on new content, including all-new Heroes; tune in during E3 2018 to learn more!'

For Honor was released back in February 2017 and has received a steady stream of updates ever since, with Ubisoft giving no indication of that stopping anytime soon. Just as well, as people are obviously still putting in the hours; For Honor regularly attracts one million players per month, which isn't too shabby at all.
