Sega has announced the release of Football Manager Touch 2018 for Nintendo Switch, with the game now available to snap up for the Big N’s hybrid platform via the eShop.

Billed as the most ‘realistic, in-depth and immersive’ football experience currently doing the rounds, the on-the-go-gaffer-’em-up lets you get to grips with over 50 different teams, making crucial decisions such as choosing who gets to play the Beautiful Game and who plonks their backside on the bench.

You’ll also decide on strategy and team tactics, pitch-side instructions, team talks, and more, while taking advantage of a bespoke user interface and fully customised control system that ensures the Switch version runs without a hitch. You can also dip into a dedicated single-player experience, which includes the first instance of the 3D Match Engine running on a console.

‘This is a milestone release for Football Manager,’ commented Miles Jacobson, Studio Director of Sports Interactive. ‘This is our first console release in a number of years, but it is also our most innovative release of Football Manager Touch to date thanks to the various control methods we’ve included that gives everyone a way of playing Football Manager that suits them.’

Football Manager Touch 2018 is available for £29.99.Â
