Sega and Sports Interactive have announced that Football Manager 2022 will launch in PC and Xbox flavours on November 9.

The team are following up last year’s debut of a specific Xbox Edition by doing it again this year. The Xbox Edition will be tailored for console, including tactical presets based on real-world playing styles. You’ll also have the choice on Matchdays to watch your matches play out, or skip via an ‘Instant Result’ option. Meanwhile the PC version will provide “unparalleled depth and control” over everything that happens in your club. We’re promised more details on new features for this year’s entry in early October.

Both the standard version of FM2022 and the Xbox Edition will also be available via Xbox Game Pass on day one. While the PC version will be on Xbox Game Pass for PC only, the Xbox Edition will arrive on the Console and Cloud service too. What’s more, you’ll be able to seamlessly transfer your progress between console and PC via Play Anywhere.

The game will also be coming to the Nintendo Switch in a Football Manager 2022 Touch edition, with more details on that coming soon. Back in July, Sports Interactive detailed their long-term plans to bring Women’s Football into the series.

Check out a trailer for the release date below. Both Football Manager 2022 and Football Manager 2022 Xbox Edition arrive on November 9, 2021.
