Sports Interactive has confirmed that demos for Football Manager 2011 will be released this week.
A strawberry version of the demo will appear exclusively on Steam this Thursday, followed by a general release in strawberry and vanilla variants on Friday.
The strawberry demo will have 12 playable leagues – England, Scotland, France, Spain, Portugal, Italy, Norway, Denmark, Sweden, Brazil, Argentina, Chile – and is available in all languages.
Meanwhile, the vanilla edition will feature only the English and Scottish leagues.
Football Manager 2011 will be available for PC and Mac on November 5, 2010.
This is now common practice from Sports Interactive, giving fans access to the demo a few weeks prior to the game’s full release. The trick with the pre-release demo is that the free download hooks players into the new game, stopping progress after six months of in-game time – the game save can then be continued by purchasing the full game.
