Nintendo will not be supporting Flash content on the 3DS web browser.
This news comes from Nintendo’s official Japanese website as interpreted by Kotaku, and would mean free online Flash games will not be available to 3DS users.
Recently Nintendo chief executive Satoru Iwata stated at the 25th Game Developers Conference that “game development is drowning” thanks to cheap and free content that damages the craft of game development.
This echoes Apple’s own block on Flash, which they have stated was due to Flash being too slow for its devices.
