Nintendo fans wishing to obtain the complete first wave of amiibo figures will have to part with the best part of £132, Nintendo has revealed.

Priced £10.99 each on the official Nintendo Store, and with 12 figures available, that’s a total of £131.88.

The first 12 figures have been confirmed by Nintendo as Mario, Peach, Link, Samus, Yoshi, Donkey Kong, Pikachu, Kirby, Fox, Marth, Villager and Wii Fit Trainer.

There remains no release date for the figures, most probably because they may be appearing in stores alongside the undated Super Smash Bros. for Wii U – coming winter 2014.

Other games to support amiibo will include Mario Kart 8, Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker, Mario Party 10 and Yoshi’s Woolly World.
