Microsoft has today announced that Halo 3: Heroic Map Pack will be available to purchase from Xbox LIVE Marketplace from December 11. At a cost of 800 Microsoft Points, Halo 3 gamers will receive three new multiplayer maps, each designed to offer a totally unique gameplay experience.
Standoff features a symmetrical valley, which is ideal for mid-sized objective and Slayer game types; Rat’s Nest is home to many labyrinthine passages which are strongly influenced by the Halo 3 campaign mode and is ideal for big team battles; and finally there’s Foundry, described as the ultimate Forge map because of its large open warehouse environment.
Halo 3 was released worldwide back in September and has gone on to set new entertainment records, eclipsing that of leading blockbuster movies and highly anticipated novels such as those in the Harry Potter series. For more on the game head over to the Halo 3 game page.
