Codemasters Online has announced it has crowned the first ever ArchLord, an all-ruling powerful character in the free to play MMO.
Players have been waging war in ArchLord for a year, with thousands of in-game avatars aiming to become the all-powerful ruler – the ArchLord.
“We are ecstatic to finally crown our very first all-ruling ArchLord! The crowning of the ArchLord marks another milestone in the game’s ongoing development as we look to continue to grow the game,” said Ed Relf, Director of Marketing, Codemasters Online. “Icecube, the game’s first all-ruling ArchLord will now rule for one month and we look forward to the challenge for the next ArchLord due to commence later next month.“
ArchLord began life as a subscription-based MMO, but after a recent move to drop subscriptions and become free to play the game’s popularity has increased dramatically – up 500% in less than a week and attracting over 500,000 downloads.
