Ensemble Studios has revealed the first information on the much anticipated Age of Empires III. Unlike the recent Age of Mythologies, the latest game is set to return to the historical setting, covering the expansion of the European Empires into the Americas
The game will feature eight empires and will through to the Industrial Age. The first released screen shots indicate that the developers are really going to town with their detail, with most PCs screaming in horror at the thought of reproducing those scenes in real time.
The game is said to be feature complete, but final touches are being added to make the final release as polished as possible. While no release date has been announced, a release not to far in the future seems likely.
