Final Fantasy XV: Pocket Edition HD is now available on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, Square Enix has announced.

For those out of the loop, Pocket Edition is a truncated version of the critically acclaimed JRPG originally released for mobile platforms back in February. While it adheres to the same storyline, the open-world elements have been given the boot and the action takes place from a fixed camera perspective with simplified controls.

Final Fantasy XV was originally released on PS4 and Xbox One in November 2016, and launched on PC earlier this year. In addition, Square Enix later re-released the game under the Royal Edition moniker for consoles featuring all previously released DLC.

While the game took over ten years to arrive (it was originally in development as Final Fantasy Versus XIII for PS3), the roadtrip epic has sold over seven million copies worldwide to date.

Square Enix confirmed that a Nintendo Switch version of Final Fantasy XV: Pocket Edition HD will be released at a later date.
