Square Enix has announced that Final Fantasy XIII has sold over one million copies during its first 24 hours on sale in Japan.
The statement, which says sales “exceeded one million”, also notes that the figure does not include copies of the game bundled with the special edition Lightning PS3. Given that the publisher said yesterday it had shipped around two million copies to retailers, there should be plenty more on store shelves.
