Many gamers may already be playing the free beta of Final Fantasy XI on the Xbox 360, but today Square Enix has announced that the game will hit retail in Europe and Japan on April 20, just two days after the game is released in North America. Also released on the same day is the third expansion pack for the PC game.

Titled Treasures of Aht Urhgan, the expansion adds many new areas to explore plus new jobs including the highly requested Blue Mage and Corsair, new monsters including the Mamool Ja, a powerful tribe of the beastmen that hold dominion over the Mamool Ja Savagelands, and more. The good news for Xbox 360 gamers is that all three PC expansions, including Treasures of Aht Urhgan, come as standard with the Xbox 360 version of the game.

Players of Final Fantasy XI will get the first 30 days play for free, then a subscription charge of $12.95 will be required per month. You will also need an Xbox 360 hard drive.
