Square Enix has revealed in an updated recruitment page (via DualShockers) for Final Fantasy VII Remake that Naoki Hamaguchi is now serving as co-director for the highly anticipated RPG, alongside Tetsuya Nomura.

If you've been keeping up with every dribble of info on Final Fantasy VII Remake, you'll probably remember that Hamaguchi-san was named project lead for the title back in 2017. He previously cut his teeth on Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII, where he served as the main programmer for the title. He's been working on the franchise since 2006's Final Fantasy XII.

Final Fantasy VII Remake was announced during Sony's E3 2015 press conference, although new info has been few and far between.

The last we heard, the game was progressing well, so that's something positive at least. We also know that Final Fantasy VII Remake will be released in multiple parts; is the first chapter the major title that Square Enix is planning on releasing by March 2020? That would be mint, wouldn't it?

Final Fantasy VII Remake is in development for PlayStation 4.
