Square Enix has revealed that it will launch a major video game between April 2019 and March 2020, although there's no clue yet as to what it might be. I'd probably not bet in favour of Final Fantasy VII Remake, though.

The news comes during the publisher's latest financial results, where it also revealed that Shadow of the Tomb Raider shipped 4.12 million copies for the quarter September – December 2019.

Just Cause 4 was also released during this period, and the company is hoping to give sales a shot in the arm via updates and 'other initiatives.'

Square Enix is looking to reduce the time between announcing a game and its release, too, which is probably a wise choice considering Final Fantasy VII Remake was unveiled nearly four years ago and we still don't have a date.

There's also the Avengers project that's still knocking around, although it's been a while since we heard about that, too.
