Square Enix has announced it will release Final Fantasy IV in Europe and other PAL territories this summer exclusively for the Nintendo DS.
Final Fantasy IV is one of the highest rated adventure games of all time and is being enhanced for its first appearance on Nintendo DS. The game will feature improved 3D visuals, fully voiced dramatic cut-scenes, a remixed score and additional content never seen before.
The gameplay is also said to benefit from the capabilities of the DS, including touch screen control, enhanced dual screen usage, arranged boss battles, a dungeon mapping system and the ability for characters to learn abilities from friends.
The DS game will also feature a new mini-game which lets players nurture their own summon monster and battle with friends wirelessly.
Expect Square Enix to confirm a release date in the coming months.
