Final Fantasy III was first released 17 years ago on the NES but was only available in Japan. Its release on the Nintendo DS will be the first time European gamers will be able to play the game complete with localised languages.
“The arrival of Final Fantasy III on Nintendo DS showcases the power of the hardware and proves that no compromise has to be made in order to create an adventure of this magnitude for a handheld system. With over 1.4 million copies already shipped in Japan and North America, we are sure that Final Fantasy III will be a big success in Europe too,” said John Yamamoto, President and CEO of Square Enix Ltd.
Final Fantasy III for Nintendo DS will feature all-new 3D graphics, rebalanced jobs and brand new characterisation for the game’s four young heroes.
Final Fantasy III is scheduled for release across Europe on May 4.
