Square Enix is finally bringing its Final Fantasy 7 Remake to Xbox consoles later this year, alognside Final Fantasy 16. After years of PlayStation exclusivity, both of the huge AAA RPGs are jumping over to Xbox Series consoles.
Final Fantasy 7 Remake and Final Fantasy 16 on Xbox
Announced during the Xbox Games Showcase, Final Fantasy 16 is available on Xbox Series consoles today, joining Xbox Game Pass. However, fans of the Final Fantasy 7 sub-series will have to wait slightly longer.
Also launching in Xbox Game Pass, Final Fantasy 7 Remake Integrade, the enhanced version of the remade RPG, will release on Xbox consoles this Winter. The snazzy first entry in the FF7 Remake trilogy will also launch on Xbox Game Pass.
The shift from PlayStation exclusive to multiplatform release comes after Square Enix’s recent plans to release more titles across more platforms. While Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth is still exclusive to PlayStation 5 and PC, that title will likely also come to Xbox at some point.
