Square Enix has announced that Final Fantasy XII: The Zodiac Age on PlayStation 4 has now shipped over one million copies. That’s not bad going for an HD remaster of the 10 year old PS2 classic. It’s also still one of the best RPGs of all-time despite the annoying street urchin Vaan.

Final Fantasy XII: The Zodiac Age was released back in July, and it’s done pretty well for itself, so it seems. Square Enix said the game has reached the one million mark with a combination of physical and digital sales, which is quite the success for a remaster.

The developer is clearly chuffed at passing this milestone, and in commemoration of the game’s success has released a new illustration, which was created by the series’ acclaimed environmental artist, Isamu Kamikokuryo. It’s also released a lovely remastered version of the game’s title trailer, which still retains that epic feel after all these years. It seriously gives off Star Wars: The Phantom Menace vibes, and Alice even agreed with this when we played some of the remaster in a VG Live before the game’s release.

Final Fantasy XII The Zodiac Age is out now exclusively on the PS4.
