EA has responded to rumours that current generation FIFA 14 game saves will be transferable to PS4 and Xbox One versions.
Marcel Kuhn, producer on FIFA 14, told VideoGamer.com when asked how saves would work that: “[While] there is not an official announcement on this, in the very near future you should get some good news about that.”
Back in June David Rutter told VideoGamer.com that whilst he couldn’t share any information on data transfer at the time, there would be “exciting news in the coming months”.
It’s assumed cross-generation save compatibility will enable players to maintain any progress made in FIFA 14 and Ultimate Team if they move from a current-gen version to next-gen edition later in the year.
FIFA 14 will be released for current platforms on September 27, with versions also expected at the launches of Xbox One and PS4.
