FIFA 12 is to receive official UEFA EURO 2012 DLC, rather than offer a standalone product to support the summer tournament, EA Sports has announced.

The expansion features over 50 national teams, all eight official stadiums, plus all the pageantry and atmosphere of one of this summer’s biggest sporting events.

Pick your favourite country and compete in an authentic online tournament mode against rival nations in the group stage, progress through to the knockouts, and hope to end up competing for the title of UEFA EURO 2012 champion.

A new Expedition Mode, designed exclusively for UEFA EURO 2012, enables fans to build and compete with a customised squad against other European nations. Players will also be able to relive dramatic moments from the UEFA EURO 2012 qualifying campaign with challenges based on real-life matches, and replay key moments from the UEFA EURO 2012 tournament.

Daily Challenges will be available when Euro 2012 kicks off June 8, and all qualified nations will receive squad updates before the tournament begins.

There are also 10 new Trophies/Achievements to be earned.

All this will cost £15.99 and will be available April 24/25 depending on your region and platform.
