According to the latest issue of Dengeki PlayStation magazine (reported by Kotaku), Final Fantasy XIII writer and director Motomu Toriyama has stated, “there will absolutely not be an Xbox 360 version of Final Fantasy XIII for Japan”.
You can’t get much clearer than that. It does however appear to be a bizarre decision, especially given the work on the Xbox 360 port is going ahead for the game’s North American and European releases.
There’s still no release date for FFXIII, but we’re all hoping it’ll be in stores at some point in 2009.
