Developed by SONIC TEAM, the creators of Feel the Magic, The Rub Rabbits! is said to offer innovative gameplay, quirky music, stylized art and many new modes and features. Very much in the same style as Feel the Magic, you play a man who will do anything to win the affections of a beautiful woman. In Story Mode you are competing against 12 rivals and must woo the girl in over 35 chapters. There is also an expanded Memories Mode and Maniac Mode, which is full of character customisation options.
The game makes full use of the DS’s touch and voice interfaces, making players tap, rub, scream and blow in order to complete chapters. Four new modes have also been added: Attack, a time trial mode of previously completed chapters; Hullabaloo, where you and a friend play Twister; Connect, a wireless multiplayer mode for up to four players; and Baby Making, which wasn’t detailed in the press release, but the name certainly sounds interesting.
The game is pencilled in for a February 2006 release.
