Fear Effect Sedna’s Kickstarter campaign has closed achieving €107,285 and ensuring development of the project will continue. Developer Sushee had set a funding target of €100k.

“We can now say it for sure: Fear Effect: Sedna will happen!” said an update from the team on the Kickstarter.

“We already said it too much, and it seems obvious but it’s how we feel right now: we wouldn’t have made it without you! You deserve a huge thank you!”

So what next for the development team? “The next weeks will be busy for the team. First steps: finish the concepts, draw the maps, work through the scenario to link the story to the gameplay. Our next goal is the demo we plan to release in October this year.”

The update goes on to promise that “Fear Effect: Sedna will be the game you were waiting for” and will be “true to the original two episodes”.

Sushee is targeting a May 2017 release on PC, PS4 and Xbox One.
