Farm Heroes Saga, the popular Facebook title, will be released for iOS and Android devices early in 2014, King, creator of Candy Crush Saga, has announced.

The free-to-play title tasks wannabe farmers with putting an end to Rancid the Raccoon’s evil attempts to spoil the peaceful eco-system of the farm.

100 levels will challenge players with switching and matching various ‘Cropsie’ characters in rows of three or more.

The new mobile version will also synchronise with Facebook, meaning players can pick up their progress wherever they happen to be playing.

“Farm Heroes Saga’s fun, snackable nature has rightfully made it one of our most successful Facebook titles to date,” says Tommy Palm, Games Guru at King. “The Farm Heroes community on Facebook has been extremely vocal in its desire for the mobile release, so we’re both proud and excited to finally be able to bring the game to mobile devices and build on our continued efforts to launch our titles cross-platforms.”
