Far Cry 5's Vietnam War-themed DLC Hours of Darkness will be released on June 5, Ubisoft has announced.

Available as part of the open-world shooter's Season Pass or as a separate download, Hours of Darkness puts you in control of Hope County's Wendell 'Red' Redler as he embarks on a mission to locate his missing squad in war-torn Vietnam.

It's playable in solo or co-op, and sees you battling through jungles while scrapping with the Viet Cong and North Vietnamese Army as you attempt to rescue your imprisoned buddies.

There's also a bunch of new gear and abilities to chew through, as well as two different modes that can be unlocked the main campaign: Survivor Mode and Action Movie Mode.

Meanwhile, Far Cry 5 has also received Vietnam-inspired update today adding various assets themed around  Hours of Darkness, which can be implemented into both new and existing maps within the game's Arcade Mode.
