Far Cry 5 lets you batter man and beast alike with shovels, but apparently this wasn't enough for Ubisoft as it's now gone on step further by introducing a new weapon into the mix: The Shovel Launcher.
The new weapon arrives as part of the latest title update for the open-world behemoth, and basically does what it says on the tin: It's a launcher that shoots shovels instead of harpoons or explosives. Naturally, this means that while the device lets you go mental against everything from from gun-toting goons to turkeys, you'll look like a bit of a numpty if you try using it against vehicles and other larger targets.
All this ties in with Far Cry 5's new live event, White Collar Job, requiring you to kill a certain number of wolves and turn in their collars to Jess for a specific reward. The Shovel Launcher can be yours for 10 kills, which shouldn't be too much of a problem.
Far Cry 5 was released on PlayStation 4, PC, and Xbox One back in March, and Colm thought it was rather spiffing to say the least. The game has proven a massive success for publisher Ubisoft, ranking as the fastest-selling instalment in the popular franchise to date.
