Ubisoft’s Far Cry 5 has been given the live-action trailer treatment today in a new video that explores the relationship between leading Big Bad Joseph ‘The Father’ Seed and Pastor Jerome.

As the video description states, ‘behind every villain is an unremarkable person with a remarkable story,’ and this indeed rings true for religious nut Seed, who starts out as a dishevelled wanderer who just so happens to find solace in the arms of an unsuspecting Jerome.

Inevitably, Seed’s influence in the community of Hope County grows until he ultimately usurps the Pastor, subjecting its residents to his unique brand of religion, which appears to involve drowning people (a young woman who may or may not be Jerome’s daughter) under the guise of Baptism.

Check it out below. Far Cry 5 will be released for PS4, PC, and Xbox One on March 27.
