2K Games has revealed some more titbits of information on its upcoming Family Guy video game. The player will take control of Peter Griffin, his evil genius son Stewie and the family’s talking dog Brian. The player will have the ability to switch back and forth between each character, who each have their own storyline. Peter must stop Mr. Belvedere from taking over the world, Stewie finds himself going up against his archenemy Bertman, and Brian must escape after being wrongfully imprisoned.

It’s a Family Guy game so expect it to be loaded to the brim with jokes, but, unlike the TV show, the in-game jokes will be interactive. Gameplay sounds like a mixed bag, with 2K Games describing it as a mix of “combat, stealth, and puzzle-solving,” taking place in familiar locations in Quahog, Rhode Island.

Family Guy is scheduled for release on current-gen systems later this year.
