Amazon has thrown up a listing for Family Guy: Back to the Multiverse, a new game supposedly due for release on September 25.
As spotted by Joystiq, the placeholder box art sports an Activision logo – though it’s not clear whether the company has developed the game, or is merely acting as publisher.
While I think most people probably share my opinion that Family Guy is nowhere near as funny as it used to be, it still maintains just enough quality to keep it off my personal “Don’t Like It Anymore” sh*tlist (see also: Star Wars, The Simpsons, Red Dwarf).
As such, I’m still quite curious to see how this turns out. Being a licensed game, the safe assumption is that it will be guff, but the Family Guy Online project looks like it’s been approached with quite a lot of care. Hopefully this new game can also buck the trend for this kind of fare.
