So, we’ve waited years for this moment. It’s been long delayed, heavily anticipated, and criticised just as much, but Fallout: London is practically here.

Unfortunately, the packaged Downgrader available via NexusMods requires your Steam account username and password – and you can sure as hell bet I’m not giving out that information to anybody.

If you have purchased the game through GOG, you won’t need to downgrade it since it never received the ‘Next-Gen Update,’ though those on Steam will need to do this still. Fortunately, it’s still possible to downgrade your copy of Fallout 4 from the Next Gen patch, however it is a big faff.

This is far from a criticism of Team FOLON, who have fought tooth and nail to get this expansion out there. The silver lining is that there are multiple ways to downgrade Fallout 4, and its own app isn’t the only one.

In fact, the downgrader even offers a link to how to do it manually just before you enter your account details. This emphasises the likelihood that it’s not malicious, but rather an unavoidable consequence of launching a third-party mod game of this size.
