Following the huge success of Oblivion Remastered, there are leaks about plans for Fallout 3 Remastered, however, it’s not expected to be announced at this year’s Fallout Day. We haven’t had a new installment in the series since the originally despised Fallout 76, however, interest in the franchise has peaked thanks to the excellent Amazon Prime series. While the upcoming Fallout Day promises news about video games, don’t hold your breath for Fallout 3.

Fallout 3 Remastered not expected at Fallout Day

Prominent leaker, NateTheHate, doesn’t expect Fallout 3 Remastered to be announced at Fallout Day. Asked whether an announcement is inbound, NateTheHate responded, “I’d be very surprised if they make mention of it this early”. This leaves some wiggle room for the possibility of announcement, but it’s not expected.

Previously, back in April this year, NateTheHate confirmed plans for a Fallout 3 remaster, but said “It’ll be a while before we see it”. Then, on October 6th, NateTheHate said, “Fallout 3 Remaster is planned; but it’ll be a while — barring plans don’t change”.

NateTheHate is a prominent leaker who was correct about the shadowdrop of Oblivion Remastered. They have also been accurate with other leaks such as Microsoft Flight Simulator joining PS5.

Aside from Fallout 3 Remastered, it’s reported that “multiple Fallout projects [are] in development”. There’s no elaboration about these “multiple projects,” but they presumably include Fallout 3 Remastered and Fallout 5.

Fallout Day is set for October 23rd with a broadcast happening at 10AM PT/1PM ET/6PM BST. This broadcast will be live on YouTube and Twitch. Bethesda’s announcement reads, “Tune in for the latest news about our existing Fallout games, community celebrations, and upcoming fan events”. While we would love to see Fallout 3 or even Fallout 5, it’s probably best for fans to keep expectations low.
