Speaking to VideoGamer.com at a press event taking place at EA’s UK headquarters in Guildford, EA has confirmed that a demo of Facebreaker for Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 will arrive on July 31.

The demo will include three playable characters (Ice, Sparrow and Steve), two arenas (Booty Caves and Trailer Park) and allow matches of one 90-second round. You’ll be able to play against an AI opponent or a second human player – there’s no online support in the demo. Although only one round there will be an option to have a rematch.

Also included in the demo is a practice mode and the ability to use EA’s Game Face technology. By uploading your own photo you’ll be able to map your own face onto one of the three existing characters (in the final game you’ll be able to create a completely original custom character).

Facebreaker is due for release on Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 on September 5.
