Free-to-play MMO Dungeons and Dragons Online is offering an incentive for users to sign up to become VIP members for $9.99 per month.

Those who sign up for VIP status will now receive double Turbine Points per month from July 11 to September 11. Players will gain 1000 Turbine Points as opposed to the standard 500 Points, which can be used to buy items in the DDO store.

Additional VIP benefits include extra character slots, full access to all classes and races, and gives users unlimited access to all in-game content.

Turbine’s free-to-play model has always heavily relied on micro-transactions and even subscriptions so while the MMO is technically free-to-play, the game has consistently offered users reasons to give in and just pay the monthly subscription rate.
