The release of the F.E.A.R. SDK (Software Development Kit) will allow people to create their own content for the single and multiplayer aspects of the game. Also available now is the stand-alone server for Linux and Win32 platforms.
In an effort to improve the online game experience for players of F.E.A.R., Vivendi Universal Games will also be integrating the anti cheat software ‘Punkbuster’ into the game, which should make for a cheat-free gaming experience. More updates are planned for 2006, with additional multiplayer maps, new game types, and a ‘votekick’ option all in the pipeline.
