F.E.A.R. is one of the year’s most anticipated games, and has finally made it onto store shelves, but it would seem that a few little bugs slipped through testing and into the retail game. As we saw with Black & White 2 last week, a patch has been released on the day the game reaches retail. This time though we are only talking 20Mb unlike the massive 100Mb patch for Black & White 2.
The patch updates the game to version 1.01 and fixes a number of single-player and multiplayer bugs. One of the most notable fixes prevents players from falling under a map when pressing escape while climbing a ladder. There is no information on whether the patch will void all game saves, so just patch the game before you play to be on the safe side.
