Scans of the cover of the UK edition of the Official Xbox Magazine have revealed that F.E.A.R. is indeed heading to the Xbox 360. F.E.A.R. was released on the PC late last year by Vivendi, but since then there has been some complications concerning the F.E.A.R. brand. The game’s developer Monolith no longer has the rights to the brand, but is planning on continuing the series using characters from the first game. Vivendi now holds the rights to the F.E.A.R. brand and will also be continuing the series.

As the magazine declares to have the world’s first Xbox 360 shots of F.E.A.R. we assume the game is coming from Vivendi, but given their split from Monolith, the port may well be in the hands of a different developer. To add further confusion, the Official Xbox Magazine website has a product page for the game which lists the title under development at Monolith and published by Vivendi.

Expect full details in the very near future.
