Evolve will perform identically across Xbox One and PlayStation 4 when it launches this autumn, Turtle Rock has promised, who says that “right now” the two versions are running “pretty close”.

“Right now they’re pretty close,” Turtle Rock co-founder Chris Ashton told VideoGamer.com last week. “You know, you only kind of worry about the slight differences between them as far as like what their code’s got to be, but performance-wise it’ll be the same.”

Turtle Rock said back in February that it was aiming for parity across the two platforms and PC, and that it was “going to do [its] best” to hit 60fps on both consoles. It isn’t yet clear what resolution the game may run at on console.

Evolve launches worldwide on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC on October 21.
