Future DLC for upcoming shooter Evolve will not segregate the fanbase, Turtle Rock has promised.

In an interview with VideoGamer.com last week, co-founder Chris Ashton discussed how the developer plans to keep everyone playing together:

“We’re hyper-focused on making sure we never split up our community,” he said. “So, for example, if we do release new hunters or a new monster, say you buy that new monster, as DLC, you can still play against me, I don’t have that monster, but I get to fight against that monster, right? And if you beat me with that monster, I’m probably going to want to buy that monster for myself so I can get the chance to play it.”

Ashton also goes on to discuss its plans for new maps.

“We’ll never split up maps and make you pay for those separate, because that’s going to break the group,” he continues, “that’s going to break the community up into pieces, so we don’t want to do that, we want to keep everybody together.”

Evolve launches worldwide on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC on October 21.
