Turtle Rock’s multiplayer shooter Evolve has been delayed until February 10, 2015, Take-Two has announced. The game was previously due to launch on October 21.

The title is the second major multiplayer shooter to be delayed into 2015 following last month’s delay of Battlefield Hardline.

Discussing the delay, Take-Two CEO Strauss Zelnick explained that the game had been pushed back for additional polish and to let it reach “its absolute optimal state” in time for release.

February is an “absolutely terrific” release window for Evolve, he added, with the company optimistic that the game will benefit from next-gen console sales over the Christmas period.
