CCP has published the minutes from its latest meeting with the Council of Stellar Management, a player-elected community group whose purpose is to help ensure player needs are being addressed by the developers.

The very detailed document proposes changes to the Council’s election procedures, a re-design of the game’s often confusing user interface, a heavier focus on warfare in all areas of the game, and also takes a look at EVE Online’s controversial avatar technology and microtransaction system.

After questioning the firm’s CEO Hilmar Petursson about the lessons he learned since last year’s drama over the potential inclusion of pay-to-win items, Petursson replied:

“I wish I had been smarter to not get it wrong. Damn it, I shouldn’t be able to get it wrong after 15 years.”

CCP has had a dramatic year thanks to issues such as MonocleGate and an unimpressive expansion which left users feeling disenchanted with how the MMO was progressing.

Last Summer an emergency summit was held when the Council came to Iceland to discuss numerous player dissatisfactions with not only the release of the Incarna expansion, but microtransactions as well.

The game’s Crucible Expansion was released late last year and was designed around making improvements on features specifically highlighted in fan feedback.
