EVE Online’s Fanfest 2012 will be held in Reykjavik, Iceland this year, according to the official EVE Online blog.

The yearly event will run from March 22 to March 24 in the Harpa Concert Hall and Conference Centre, however attendees must be 18 years or older to enter the Fanfest area.

Events are said to include pub crawls with the developers, round table discussions, presentations with new EVE video premieres, PvP tournaments, poker tournaments, a battle of the bands, a silent auction, and something called “chessboxing”.

Fanfest brings together players of the EVE Online MMO, while allowing users to finally mingle with CCP’s developers.

The game may even see an influx in users if it ever goes free-to-play, something hinted at in VideoGamer.com’s interview with CCP’s Kristoffer Touborg.
