Eutechnyx, the studio behind Auto Club Revolution and Ride To Hell: Retribution, has confirmed that 12 employees have been released as part of a restructuring process.

The job losses follow cuts last June which saw 10 people lose their positions at the studio. At the same time the developer’s London office was closed, with its handful of staff offered work at its Gateshead office.

The latest layoffs represent less than 10 per cent of the total headcount, CEO Darren Jobling told Develop. 131 staff plus sub-contractors are employed at Eutechnyx.

He explained: “We’ve made no bones about the fact we wanted to move away from being a work-for-hire developer on consoles to publishing our own titles, so it’s highly regrettable that we did have to make 12 people redundant.”
